About The Project
THE SOCIAL ROOM – SPARK REAL CONNECTIONS Step inside this thoughtfully crafted space designed to spark meaningful afterwork conversations. Here, we create unexpected connections are part of the fun.
We’ve built and programmed a series of retro themed phones that encourages users to call and chat with a random stranger to spark some real connections. Some of these phones are programmed to give you a secret mission which earns you a reward at the end of the gameplay.
Its spontaneous, sometimes hilarious and completely human.
Challenge & Solution
When we first received the brief, we weren’t entirely confident about pulling it off. The setup relied on outdated technology, and we had no backup systems in place. On top of that, the specialized hardware needed to connect all the components wasn’t readily available in Singapore.
To overcome these challenges, we had to test and troubleshoot extensively, even exploring solutions overseas to identify a fail-proof approach. It took considerable time and effort to source the right equipment and ensure everything ran smoothly.
In the end, our persistence paid off—we successfully delivered the setup, and the event turned out to be both seamless and enjoyable for everyone involved.
