About The Project
The SPF200 Virtual Experience is a groundbreaking 360° virtual exhibition, beautifully captured at the National Museum of Singapore. This immersive tour highlights the evolution of policing, from its early days to modern technological advancements. Visitors can explore compelling case studies and historical records, including events like the racial riots, terrorism threats, and other societal challenges.
The interactive tour offers dynamic features such as image pop-ups, videos, audio explainers, and a mini-map for effortless navigation. Designed with two activations—a Bicentennial Walkthrough and a Heritage Tour—it delivers a rich and engaging experience. The Heritage Tour incorporates a gamified element, where users search for hidden icons throughout the exhibition.
Challenge & Solution
Produced during the COVID-19 lockdown, the virtual experience provided an innovative solution for audiences to explore the exhibition from the comfort of their homes. This first-of-its-kind virtual tour combines gamification with multiple pathways of exploration. Using a blend of 2D graphics, 3D composited characters, and audio narratives, it guides users through a cohesive and captivating storytelling journey.
