About The Project
The SCDF Virtual Experience is an immersive 360° virtual tour that explores three distinct types of civil defence shelters in Singapore. Guided by an audio narration, users gain valuable insights into emergency preparedness, including how to respond and what to expect during such events. The tour also educates participants on various warning systems and procedures, offering a rare behind-the-scenes look at how MRT stations are transformed into civil defence shelters.
This interactive virtual tour features dynamic digital touchpoints, including image pop-ups, videos, audio explainers, and a mini-map for seamless navigation within the shelters.
Challenge & Solution
As a large-scale project, the production involved close collaboration with the SCDF force and reservist personnel. Spanning six months, it encompassed exercise coordination, virtual tour development, video production, and audio guide recordings. The experience also offers fascinating glimpses into the lesser-known functions of MRT shelters, providing a comprehensive and engaging perspective on civil defence preparedness.
